Lydia Beck is the Marketing & PR Manager for Visit Carson City where she has lead destination storytelling and collaborative marketing efforts for Nevada’s capital. With nearly a decade in marketing and PR, she is known for building campaigns that travel beyond city limits by tapping into community stories, creative  ideas, and authentic voices, often with scrappy budgets.

Raised in rural southern Illinois, she understands small communities from the inside. Life threw a curveball when she fell in love with a rancher and Lydia has spent the last 16 years with her husband balancing Nevada ranch life, the strong opinions of the cows and her two-year-old. It shapes how she approaches destination marketing: grounded, people-first, and focused on creating tourism that supports communities as much as it inspires travelers.
