Liz Woolsey

Owner, Stargazer Inn & Bristlecone General Store

Elizabeth Woolsey is originally from Connecticut and has a unique and diverse list of experiences that have taken her around the country and the globe. She has dedicated her career to education, community service and the arts. 

In 2018, Liz moved to Baker, NV, where her husband, James, was the Superintendent of Great Basin National Park. She works with many groups in White Pine County to promote recreational opportunities, especially dark sky tourism. She spearheaded the Park to Park in the Dark astronomy route and the Baker Dark Sky Community initiative.  In 2022, she became the owner of the Stargazer Inn & Bristlecone General Store in downtown Baker, fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning a travel oasis in a remote location at a crossroads of outdoor recreation. Her goal is to create inviting spaces, new opportunities, nourished adventures and lasting memories.
