Denise Beronio

Denise Beronio, Administrator, Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation

Denise is the Administrator for the Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation. She has lived in Douglas County, NV for 34 years, prides herself on being an active volunteer for her community, and she currently sits on the Douglas County Sheriff’s Advisory Council. Denise has a passion for horses and at the age of 8, she began a riding career in Eventing and Hunter/Jumpers. Denise is an avid hunter and fisherman and strives to dedicate volunteer time with her family for projects with the Nevada Department of Wildlife and organizations like Nevada Bighorns Unlimited or the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Denise is an advocate for promoting health and wellness through Nevada’s vast outdoor recreational opportunities. Her focus is on outdoor recreation access with an emphasis on conservation, sustainability, and preservation of wildlife habitat. Her goal is to promote economic vitality through state and local partnerships, and provide a pathway for communities to attract new outdoor recreation business and thoughtful planning for their residents.

Denise worked in the fields of mortgage and finance for 32 years, spending the last 7 as a Senior Loan Officer for Prime Lending. Denise holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Nevada, Reno with a minor in Marketing.
