As someone whose report card consistently said, “talks too much in class” growing up, Tracie knew at a young age she wanted to work in a communications field. After graduating from Indiana University with her degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations, Tracie took her skills overseas, first working for an advertising agency in Guam as a copywriter, and then stepping into the editor role of a Department of Defense newspaper in Sicily, Italy before moving to Nevada in 2012. Her career in the Silver State started at a defense contractor and then moved to a publicist role at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, where she oversaw all PR efforts. She’s been a member of Travel Nevada’s PR team since 2018, where she oversees all communications – from domestic and international media relations to public affairs and stakeholder engagement. She says the best thing about this job is uncovering the many stories of the Silver State and sharing those with anyone who will listen (and hopefully resulting in some killer earned media coverage).
