Todd Tuttle

Tourism Director, Virginia City Tourism Commission

Todd Tuttle is the Tourism Director for Storey County, NV.  He is energetically involved in the development and implementation of programs, events, and collaborations that promote the world-famous locations of Virginia City, Gold Hill and the great state of Nevada.  Camel Races, Saloon Crawls, Historical Lectures, to name a few, are all in his wheelhouse.  He excels at historical interpretations and interactions within the tourism industry.

Before becoming the Tourism Director, Todd was the President and CEO of Convention Activities, a division of Travel Service, Inc, the leading Destination Management Company in Northern Nevada.  His company, begun in 1983, specialized in tours, events, and conventions throughout the area from Yosemite National Park to the goldfields of Northern California.  Many say he knows this place like the back of his hand.  He was involved in the first Rural Round-up and Scenic Byways of Nevada.  He got his start in the industry as a tour guide at Zion National Park.

Todd enjoys the many opportunities this territory makes available, sailing Lake Tahoe, backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail, fly fishing the Truckee River, “four-wheeling” in the high country, panning-out a gold nugget or two, carving a perfect line on the ski slopes, and of course, discovering anything that has to do with the rich history of the state we call Home.  He truly loves this place!  Fun fact:  Todd has been an Alpine Race Coach for one of the local high schools for over 14 years.
