Francine Burge joined the State of Nevada in 2022 as the Public Relations Manager for the Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs, working with the Division of Museums and History and Nevada Arts Council.
Francine has over thirty years of experience in marketing, outreach, and special events. Her successful career has focused on working with organizations with a mission to improve the community: City of Sparks, Reno Philharmonic and United Way of Northern Nevada. Her volunteer work includes American Cancer Society, Sierra Arts Foundation, EDAWN Foundation, Truckee Meadows Tomorrow, and Tahoe Pyramid Trail.
In her personal life, Francine is an artist focusing on mixed media, fiber arts, and guerilla street art. She loves the Nevada outdoors and takes advantage of the local amenities in hiking and kayaking.
