Eric Brooks is the Arts and Culture Program Manager for Visit Carson City. He is responsible for implementing, organizing, managing and evaluating programs and initiatives that promote cultural tourism and the arts in Nevada’s capital city. This includes special events, festivals and public art projects.
Brooks served as the gallery curator and community liaison for the Brewery Arts Center. He was also the gallery curator for the Sierra Arts Foundation and the Co-Founder and creative director for Art Spot Reno. He spent 2 years as artist-in-residence at The Forest arts center in Edinburgh, Scotland.
He produces large-scale community mural projects across northern Nevada. The last one in Carson City brought 3 international artists to work along with 20 others, creating 22 pieces of public art. Brooks spent more than 20 years pursuing a painting, sculpture and performance art practice, participating in more than 125 exhibition experiences.
