Liz Woolsey is originally from Connecticut and has a unique and diverse list of experiences that have taken her around the country and the globe.

In 2018, Liz moved to Baker, NV, where her husband, James, was the Superintendent of Great Basin National Park. She is actively involved in many community initiatives to improve the local economy and community connections. She has worked diligently to promote Nevada tourism, especially dark sky awareness with the Park to Park in the Dark astronomy route that connects Great Basin NP to Death Valley NP. She is also a member of the White Pine County Tourism & Recreation Board.

In 2022, she became the owner of the Stargazer Inn & Bristlecone General Store in downtown Baker, fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning a travel oasis in a remote location at a crossroads of outdoor recreation. Her goal is to connect with people with each other and with the natural world around them.
