Kaitlyn Schwantes is dedicated to helping communities transform through successful entrepreneurship. As the Grant and Project Manager for the Nevada SBDC, Kaitlyn leads initiatives that connect small businesses with critical funding opportunities. Her work includes managing Clark County’s TEAP, DETR’s Nevada RISE, and the U.S. Department of Treasury’s SSBCI Technical Assistance program for Nevada SBDC throughout the state. As a collaborator on these state and local economic development projects, she ensures small business needs are being heard and incorporated into funding projects. 

As a Nevada SBDC Business Advisor with nearly a decade of experience advising small business owners, Kaitlyn specializes in guiding entrepreneurs through growth stages — from launch to expansion. She combines data-driven insights with a people-first approach to help business owners take strategic next steps and build strong support networks. She was honored in 2024 with being named one of the Top 40 Under 40 in the national network of SBDCs. When she’s not supporting entrepreneurs, she enjoys exploring new places and discovering fresh ideas to share with clients, colleagues, and friends.
