Brenda Herbstman is a Senior Grants Coordinator at Clark County Social Services and has more than 10 years’ experience with federal grants including HUD, SAMHSA, FYSB, and ACF. Brenda has been in the role of grant applicant, recipient, and reviewer for local, state, and federal grants. Since 2016 she has been part of a team responsible for securing over $200 million in federal funding for Southern Nevada’s response to issues related to homelessness. Brenda started her career as an elementary school teacher and transitioned to the County as a staff and foster parent trainer. She volunteers monthly as part of a therapy dog team but she “couldn’t be happier” than when she’s doing grant math!
